The Mint is the Relay Network Bay that produces BC. It is the first Bay you buy, and it works with or without fuel. Fueling it with Salvage adds a boost to your Work action on top.

BC output
- Each Module earns BC in proportion to what it cost to build. Every Module and every level-up pays for itself over a predictable number of days. Early Modules repay fastest; very deep Module counts repay more slowly.
- Output grows a little with the number of Modules, up to a bonus of 50%.
- The operating mode scales output: Underclocked produces less, Normal is the baseline, Overclocked produces more. See operating modes.
- BC builds up continuously. Claim it to move it into your balance. Like the rest of the Network, the Mint only produces during the idle window.
- The Mint has no Module limit. Module craft costs stop rising after a certain number of Modules.
Fuel and the Work boost
Fuel does not increase BC output. An unfueled Mint still produces its full BC.
Salvage you deposit sits in the Mint's fuel buffer and burns into a Work charge. While the Mint is fueled and charged:
- Work Amplifier multiplies your Work payout. Each tier of this upgrade raises the multiplier, up to 3 times.
- Work Cooldown Destroyer gives each Work action a chance to cut its cooldown short. Higher account Tiers add extra rolls.
Both upgrades need the Work Coupling Research node first. The fuel buffer size is raised by Research and the Mint Fuel Buffer Expansion upgrade.
Routing BC to a Vault
With the Vault Routing Research node, a slider sends part of the Mint's BC to your Faction's Vault instead of your balance. Hardcore profiles, which have no Faction, route it to their personal Vault. The fueled share is routed with a 15% bonus.
Heat
The Mint heats up faster than other Bays when Overclocked. A large Overclocked Mint needs Cooling or DX Coolant to last a full Overclock window. See Relay Heat.

|
v2026.08.19
|
- Mint and Recovery bays now burn fuel twice as fast.

v2026.08.18
|
- Mint Bays now generate BC in proportion to what they cost to build, each module and level-up pays for itself in a predictable number of days. Early modules repay fastest; very deep module counts repay more slowly.
- Overall Mint income is much higher (FOR REAL this time) across the board (example: a 100-module max-level bay goes from ~18B to ~300B per day).
- Heat in overclocked mode increased from 2.5× to 3.5×.
- Mint modules beyond #100 no longer get ever more expensive: craft cost levels off instead of climbing indefinitely. Overpayment was refunded automatically.
- Mint modules beyond #350 have the Salvage cost capped at 25M.
- Module tooltips now show each mint module’s actual BC/min contribution.
- Pending (unclaimed) mint BC that accrued before this update is preserved at the old rate; the new rates apply from this update onward.

Mint Update
|
Improvements
- Instead of flat value per module or level, it uses a more rewarding formula for growing big. Each module and level awards more.
Bug fixes
- Mint-generated BC now counts towards the income stats.

Mint Overhaul
|
- Before, every part you added to your Mint paid the same flat amount, so going bigger never really felt worth it. Now the Mint rewards investment. The more you level up each part, the faster its earnings climb, so deep building pays off instead of standing still.
- On top of that, every part you add gives a small boost to the whole Mint. A wide Mint with many parts now lifts itself, up to a healthy cap. Newer players will barely notice a change, while players who go deep and wide will see their BC output grow several times over.

Welcome to the Relay Network
|
Bays, modules, families
- Mint: produces BC. This is where your old generators end up.
The Mint, in plain terms
- At Normal mode, a Mint module pays out the same BC per minute as the equivalent legacy generator did. Migrated whales are not nerfed at baseline, but heat puts a hard ceiling on what they can sustain (see below).
- Fueling the Mint with Salvage adds roughly a 30% BC bonus on top of baseline. Fuel is optional. An unfed Mint bay still earns its full base rate. If you finish all the relay progression and have leftover Salvage, the Mint is a perfectly fine place to spend it.
- Mint module crafting is free of Salvage for the first 10 modules, so new players can build a Mint without a Refinery.
Bay upgrades
- Mint Fuel Buffer Expansion (10 tiers, Mint only): bigger fuel reservoir.
Modules: crafting, leveling, pausing
- A level-15 Mint module produces roughly 4x as much BC per minute as a level-1 module in the same slot. Salvage fuel consumption scales similarly if you choose to feed it.
