Burn lets you destroy BC. Burned BC leaves your balance at once and adds to your "BC burned" statistic. There is no guaranteed direct benefit, but burning can leave special items behind and enters you into daily and weekly prize draws.

Item returns

Burning BC can return items, based on how much you burn. The return starts at 5% of the burn's value and can rise to 30% with the Pyrology Prestige perk. See Pyre for the items involved.

Daily rewards

• The top five burners of the day win 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 Lunar Shards.
• Every player with a positive burn that day can win weighted draws for 30 Calibrated Amplifiers (six per action), one Arbitrary Amplifier and 10 Noetic Pulsators.

Weekly rewards

Weighted draws give out one Genesis Egg, one Forbidden Modifier and three Arbitrary Amplifiers. The Egg and the Modifier go to different players when at least two players qualify.

If nobody takes part in a draw, that period's prize is not awarded. Other draws allow repeat winners.

How the draw is weighted

Your weight in a draw is the square root of the BC you burned in that period. Burning 100 times more BC gives you 10 times the weight. Your chance is your weight divided by everyone's total weight. The Burn page shows your current odds, which change as others burn. There are no tickets to buy or claim.

Each profile mode (Main, Ironman and Hardcore) has its own prize pool. Banned profiles are not eligible.

Trophies

The top burner of the day earns the Burninator Trophy, and the top burner of the week earns Pyromaniac. These are ranking rewards, and burning never guarantees a particular player a prize.

October 14, 2026	v2026.10.14	Rewards granted for burning BC are now distributed based on a weighted system, rather than set ranks. Thus, all top-ranking players have a chance to win rewards. Burning more increases your chance of getting rewards, with diminishing returns. Weekly Genesis Eggs and Forbidden Modifiers have guaranteed winners when someone participates. If at least two players qualify, they go to different players. The Burn page now shows your current rank, BC burned, initial draw odds, and available prizes.
August 3, 2026	v2026.08.03.2	The Supply Depot also no longer sells Burn rewards.
April 18, 2026	v2026.04.18	You can now earn a new burn reward item called Damned Intent. The Burn Modal now has a dedicated Burn Items section that lists all burn reward items and their drop chances, and the Item Modal shows whether an item can be obtained from burning.
April 16, 2026	v2026.04.16	If you use the burn command, there’s now a small chance to get some items back… Pyrology Prestige Perk increases this chance.

August 27, 2022	v6.2.0	/burn command /burn is a new command that allows you to… burn money. You aren't guaranteed to gain anything by burning money. Weekly burn events will allow you to earn prizes by competing for most money burned.
