History

The earlier Raw Leather variant was exploration loot used in crafting. From game update v5.9.4 on July 11, 2021, Tattered Boots could also be converted into Leather using a Forge.

In game update v8.2.0 on November 7, 2023, Raw Leather was removed and players received Rubber Tires in its place. The same update introduced Rawhide as a material crafted from animal pelts. It was later renamed to Tough Rawhide.
