The Main profile Market unlocks at Governor. It is a seller orderbook: you buy listed items or list your own. Use current listings and recent trade logs to judge a price. A high asking price alone does not show that anyone has paid it.

Current listing rules

Minimum listing price is the item's base value rounded up to a 100 BC increment. Normally, listings use 100 BC steps. The maximum begins at 2 times that minimum, grows by 1 times for each account Tier, and increases further with Mercantilist. At Mercantilist level 1000 on Main, all market price limits are removed.

Mercantilist now changes listing price limits on Main. You do not need the old per-item Mercantilist unlock ladder to sell each successive item. On restricted profiles, the perk instead unlocks more Supply Depot stock.

The base seller transaction fee is 25%. Insider reduces it, with a 2.5% minimum at its current maximum. Compare the amount you will receive after the fee, not just the listing's total. Listing and removing an item is different from completing a sale; check your remaining stock and proceeds after transactions.

Buying a quantity or spending a budget

  • A number requests a specific quantity. Check the quote if it spans several prices.
  • max or all buys what your BC can afford at the cheapest price tier.
  • A percentage such as 50% spends that share of your BC at the cheapest tier.
  • Add a maximum price to fill across price tiers. For example, max 500 means as much as you can afford at no more than 500 BC each.

Review the confirmation's price breakdown. A small cheapest listing can make an item look inexpensive even when most of the quantity you need costs much more.

Selling Lunar Shards and valuable finds

Selling shards can turn random rewards into a known BC budget for progression. Opening them can supply items you need, but the result is uncertain. Choose using your current goals, usable listing range, and net market proceeds; there is no universal Tier at which everyone should switch from selling to opening.

Avoid base-selling unfamiliar rares. Likewise, avoid a blanket rule that raw materials are always cheaper than crafted items. Compare both routes at the time you buy.
