Prestige is the perk system you unlock with your first Ascension. You earn Runes as you Ascend, and spend them on Prestige Perks. Perks mostly boost things you already have instead of adding new features, so you can lean into the way you like to play.

Unlocks at Missing game reference: unlockRequirement
Takes in Runes, one for each perk level
Produces Permanent perks that improve other features
Affected by Your Ascension Tier and your Profile

Runes

  • You earn Missing game reference: runesPerTier Runes for every Ascension Tier you reach.
  • Unlocking or raising a perk by one level costs 1 Rune. You can buy several levels of one perk at once.
  • Maxing out every perk takes Missing game reference: totalRunesForMaxPerks Runes in total, so you will need to choose.
  • The Pyre can also spend Runes. Runes spent there are gone for good and are never refunded.

Resetting perks

  • Reset All clears every perk and gives all the Runes back, so you can rebuild from scratch. It can be used once a week.
  • A separate single-perk reset only exists for a perk whose level is above its current maximum. It is not a general way to move one Rune around.

A perk can be something other features depend on. Check what a perk is supporting before resetting it.
