History

Fancy Crates were introduced in game update v4.6.1 on March 12, 2021 as a reward for voting. Opening one offered a better chance of finding rare Items than ordinary exploring. Crates later became rewards for achievements and seasonal Campaigns. In game update v7.0.0 on December 18, 2022, Daily Rewards replaced voting rewards and included Fancy Crates.

Before The Fearsome Factions Update on August 19, 2024, Fancy Crates could yield crafting ingredients. The update replaced those ingredients with usable action-boost Items.
