Breeding pairs two of your pets to produce an egg. The hatched pet takes one parent's species and can inherit a skin or aura.
Where new pets come from
Ordinary eggs can drop from Loot Actions when you have space. You can breed two eligible pets you own to produce an egg, or receive eggs from another player on Main. Restricted modes block player transfers. Inspect an egg's parents and attributes before hatching it.
An ordinary bred pet inherits one parent's species and may inherit cosmetic traits. Generation is one above the higher parent generation; it is lineage, not combat power or reincarnation tier. Genesis Egg Specials are a separate route to Generation I pets, subject to the specific Special's attributes.
Breeding has growing costs
Breeding costs BC. Repeated breeding raises costs, and the same parents need time before breeding again. Zootechny lowers BC cost; Virility helps bypass the breeding wait according to its current effect. Read the breeding preview for the selected parents rather than relying on an old fixed-price table.
Some species cannot breed normally. Parent species, skins, auras, and held breeding items all matter to the outcome. Cursed Charm helps skin mutation; Mutagenic Sludge helps aura mutation and is consumed when used for breeding. Those items also have other uses, so budget them before starting a collection project.
Skins and auras
Ordinary skin and aura variants are cosmetic. They do not make a normal pet faster at adventuring. Each parent with a Skin adds to the chance of that Skin mutating into the egg, and each parent with an Aura does the same for Auras, favouring that parent's Aura colour. A parent holding Missing game reference: skinBoostItem or Missing game reference: auraBoostItem while bred raises the matching chance further.
Base Skin chances:
| Skin | Base chance |
|---|---|
| Alpha | 10.00% |
| Beta | 1.00% |
| Gamma | 0.50% |
| Delta | 0.40% |
| Epsilon | 0.30% |
| Zeta | 0.20% |
| Eta | 0.10% |
Base Auras come in Missing game reference: auraTypes forms, all equally rare.
Generation I pets come from the early prototype pet system, so they are extremely rare. Each pet's parents can be traced back to its Generation I ancestors; a lower Generation means a rarer line.
Rarity can make them desirable to collectors, and their inheritance creates long-term breeding goals. Auralyzers and Skinulators can alter a pet's appearance; read the exact Special, since its specified result can differ from the generic item type.
