| Faction boosts can improve Loot Actions while draining the Vault. Stronger settings cost more to sustain. Changes

v2026.10.22
- Factions can now enable “Open Recruitment” – players who request to join will be added to the faction immediately without requiring prior approval.
- Faction browser now sorts Factions differently, prioritizing those that are more engaged with the game, as well as listing those with Open Recruitment first.
| September 16, 2026
v2026.09.16
- The “Faction Routing” research is now called “Vault Routing“.
- Hardcore profiles can use it: the Mint bay’s routing slider can send a share of each Mint payout straight into your own Vault as FP.
| September 8, 2026
v2026.09.08
- Hardcore and Seasonal profiles can open faction links to view faction information, but you’ll see a mode-specific warning that you cannot interact with Factions.
- Profiles that are already in a faction or cannot join factions can still open the Faction Leaderboard from the faction details.
| August 26, 2026
v2026.08.26
- Type durations like 30min, 2h, or 1h30min into the Vault deposit box to deposit enough FP to keep your current boosts running that long.
- Boost actions are now compact rows instead of four expandable sections; each row shows the multiplier, FP/hour cost, and how strong it is compared to your biggest boost.
- Checkboxes let you pick which specific actions a bulk change applies to (instead of changing all four at once).
- Vault sidebar badge now turns yellow when you have under 30 minutes of boost time left, and red under 10 minutes.
| August 16, 2026
v2026.08.16
- A new “Vault” badge appears on the Faction / Vault nav tab and counts down while your FP boost is draining. As any other badge, requires Bay Telemetry research in Relay Network.
- The badge hides when nothing is draining.
| August 14, 2026
v2026.08.14
- Faction Vault, Faction Boosts, and your personal Vault modals now show how long your current FP balance will last.
| August 13, 2026
v2026.08.13
- Faction Boosts and Solo Vault modals now have an “All actions” section to raise or lower every action’s multiplier at once, instead of one at a time.
| August 7, 2026
v2026.08.07.2
- The Faction page loads again (it was erroring for factions with relay activity).
| August 3, 2026
v2026.08.03.2
New Features
- Hardcore profiles get their own personal Vault they can deposit BC into to power boosts.
- Use deposits to add per-action boost steps for fishing, hunting, exploring, and mining (up to 16 steps each). Each step adds +0.25× to loot and boss damage.
- The Vault balance drains over time depending on how many boost steps you run; when it empties your boosts reset.
- You can increase Vault capacity by upgrading with Grand Halls.
- The “FP Contributed” stat and its leaderboard are renamed to “FP Deposited to Vault” and now include personal Vault deposits.
Bug Fixes
- When you deposit BC to a faction vault the new total now appears on the faction page right away.
| July 28, 2026
v2026.07.28.2
- Ironman profiles can only join, create, or receive ownership of factions run by other ironman players; main profiles stay in main-run factions.
- The faction browser now only shows factions you’re eligible to join.
- Players currently in a faction of a different profile type have been removed as a one-time cleanup.
- Hardcore and Seasonal profiles no longer see the Faction tab at all.
| July 8, 2026
v2026.07.08
- Boss faction damage bonuses now increase when faction members are online while the boss is active, they no longer have to attack first.
- Faction members who were online for a boss keep contributing to that boss’s faction bonus even if they later go offline.
- The boss multiplier text now describes online faction members instead of calling them co-attackers.
| July 7, 2026
v2026.07.07
Improvements
- Faction Lieutenants and Leaders see “Active N ago” alongside “Joined” on their own faction member cards. Member actions are now in an Actions menu on each member card, and the faction member list has a refresh button to update activity on demand.
Bug Fixes
- The “BC routed to faction from minting” stat now shows the actual amount routed going forward instead of a tiny number that only counted mint ticks. Existing totals aren’t changed retroactively.
| June 13, 2026
Mint Update
- A new research node (Faction Routing) allows rerouting a portion of your Mint generated income to your faction instead.
- Fuel boosts the transfered BC by 15%.
| June 13, 2026
Mint Overhaul
- The biggest new idea is teamwork. Once you research the new routing node, you get a slider that lets you send a share of your minted BC into a shared faction Mint buffer. You decide how much to keep for yourself and how much to give.
- There is a boost for giving away while your Mint is fueled. The portion you route during fueled time arrives in the faction buffer with a 15% bonus on top. Anything that does not fit in the buffer simply stays with you, so nothing is ever wasted.
- The faction buffer has a limit that grows as your faction builds more halls, same mechanics as the Vault itself. To turn that buffer into spendable faction funds, a player with Sergeant rank or higher moves it into the faction vault. This keeps the shared pot under trusted control while still letting every member chip in.
| May 21, 2026
Welcome to the Relay Network
- Faction-level relay stats
- Faction pages get a new 📡 Relay Network section. Daily, Weekly, and Total tabs show BC Minted and BC Refined across the faction’s members. The faction browser lets you sort factions by any of those metrics.
- Salvage itself is deliberately excluded from faction stats. Joining or leaving a faction does not reset your relay stats; they follow you.
| April 24, 2026
v2026.04.24
- The Faction Vault deposit buttons (25%/50%/75%/100%) were also fixed so they no longer error when your client-side vault number is out of sync – the vault modal sends the percent to the server to be resolved against the server’s current max.
- Accepting or declining faction join requests works again (previously those actions failed after a refactor).
| April 14, 2026
v2026.04.14
- Faction member contribution totals now use a compact formatter (e.g. 1200 → 1.2k) in the member list so large numbers are easier to scan.
| June 11, 2025
Summer Stargazing
- Active boost FP drain per second increased to 15M FP/s (from 1.5M FP/s)
- This is a significant but necessary increase due to how powerful Faction boosts have remained since their introduction
- This change allows maximum boosts to still be achieved, but now requires meaningful contributions from multiple Faction members to sustain
| March 5, 2025
Spring Fling (Spring 2025)
- Maximum FP drain per second increased to 1,500,000 FP/s (from 1,200,000)
| February 22, 2025
Game Update (02-22-2025)

- These customizations will be disabled if the owner’s perks expire
- Name customizations are now displayed on Profiles, Leaderboard, Faction Members, and several other UI elements

- Faction Members view sorts deposits by ascending, not descending
| November 5, 2024

The Fearsome Factions Update

- Boosts: FP can be consumed to trigger faction-wide loot action boost multipliers
- Faction Boosts increment by steps of 0.25x, up to a total of 5x
- Increasing the Faction Boost level also increases FP consumption per second
- Faction Boosts can be active forever, depending solely on whether there is FP available to consume
- Changing any Faction Boost will incur a 20 minute cooldown on further changes to that action’s Faction Boost
- Faction Customization: Factions can set tags, which are identifiers that display in front of members’ names (like “[EPIC] Wewert”)
- Faction owners can set a “Message of the Day” (shown to members) and an “About” description (shown to the public)
- Ability to transfer faction ownership re-enabled
- Number of pending join requests are shown to faction members with adequate permissions directly on faction info page

- This increase applies retroactively to already used Halls
- Faction Ranks now grant different sets of permissions
- This is visible through an in-game reference menu
- Number of Grand Halls applied to Faction is now uncapped
- Some faction changes by other members now immediately live update for all users logged into the Web Client (instead of requiring an app reload)
