Items
Items are the goods of Bconomy. The Items page is both your inventory and a reference for every Item in the game, so you can look up where an Item comes from and what it is for even when you own none.
Most Items start as basic materials found by running Loot Actions (Fish, Hunt, Explore and Mine, see Actions). Basic materials can be crafted into better Items, which feed Boosts, Tools, the Relay Network, Pets and the Farm. Some Items are far harder to find: see Rare Items. Items that are tracked one by one with their own attributes are Specials, a separate class.
Looking up an Item
Search for any Item and open its card. The card shows what the Item is used for, where it can be found, its recipe if it has one, and which other recipes use it. Check the card before you sell or spend something, especially a material you might need later.
Worth and Market price
Every Item has a worth: the BC you get for selling it straight from your inventory. Worth is also the base that other game systems calculate from.
The Market price is a separate thing. It is whatever players are listing and paying, so it can be much higher than worth for an Item that is scarce or in demand. Rare Items and crafting bottlenecks are the usual cases. Restricted profiles cannot use the Market and use the Supply Depot instead (see Profile Modes).
Some Items are bound to your account or kept off the Market. These can never be listed, sold or given away, though you can still use them.
Selling
Selling an Item from your inventory pays its worth in BC straight away, after a confirmation. It is permanent: sold Items are gone. Treat worth as a floor, and check the Market price first for anything valuable.
Reserves
A Reserve is an amount of an Item you want to keep back. Bulk actions that spend many Items at once, such as feeding or levelling Pets with everything available, leave your reserved amount alone. Set a Reserve on materials you are saving for a recipe or upgrade. A Reserve is a guard for bulk actions, not a lock on the Item.
Autosell
Autosell sets a limit on how many of an Item you hold. Whenever you find more than the limit, the extra is sold at once and the BC is added to your balance. This keeps your inventory tidy and gives you a steady buffer of each Item.
Leave Autosell off for anything you need for progression and for Rare Items. Autosell applies to Items you find, including Items from opened containers. Once Items are autosold they cannot be recovered.
Pinning and categories
You can pin Items so they sit at the top of your inventory, and reorder the pinned list. You can also build your own categories to group Items the way you work, for example a category for the materials of one recipe. A category can hide its Items elsewhere in the list so they do not show twice.
Equipping and using
Some Items do their job when used, such as Boosts and Gem Bags. A few do their job while worn: see Equipment. Pet food and held Items are handled from the Pets page.
