Pets and farming sidebar Pet Leveling is how a pet grows stronger. Feeding gives XP, each level makes the pet find items faster and hold more energy, and at level 100 it can reincarnate into a higher Tier and start again. {| class="wikitable" |- ! Takes in | Food items (XP and energy), pet boost items |- ! Produces | Faster item finding, bigger energy capacity, higher Tiers |- ! Affected by | Gourmand, Asterism, Gluttony, the Pyre |} == XP and levels == A pet gains XP every time you feed it. When it has enough XP it reaches the next level, up to level 100. Each level makes the pet find items faster and raises its maximum energy. Later levels need much more XP than early ones, and the XP needed rises with the pet's Tier. == Cravings == A pet can develop a Craving for a quantity of one item. Feeding it that item gives pets.leveling.cravingBonusXpMult times the usual XP until the craving is satisfied, and then it picks a new one. Low level pets crave common items, and higher level pets can crave rarer ones, so one big stock of a single food will not finish every level. Gourmand raises the craving XP multiplier. Cravings are the efficient way to level, while filling energy is a separate goal that does not need the craved item. A full energy bar can stop feeding before level 100. A pet boost raises capacity and makes room to keep going. == Reincarnation == A pet at level 100 can reincarnate. It goes back to level 1 and loses its XP, stored energy, current Adventure progress and any active boost, but its Tier goes up by one. Each level in a higher Tier gives more item finding speed than it did in the previous Tier, but also costs more XP. The highest Tier you can reincarnate into starts at Tier V. Each level of Asterism raises it by one Tier, up to Tier XX. The Pyre's Crown Rite can push a Tier XX pet further to Ascended and Transcendent, which are not reached by reincarnating. Reincarnation is free and is not the same thing as account Ascension. Keep enough food to rebuild the pet, because a high Tier pet at a low level can find less than the developed pet it replaces. == Level Up == Level Up feeds and reincarnates pets for you in one step, repeating until each pet reaches your target. You can use it on a single pet from its detail view, or on a group from the Manage controls. * Target (bulk only) picks the group: Adventuring, Pinned, Idle or All. * Max Tier is the highest Tier it will reincarnate a pet into. Pets already at or above it are skipped. It defaults to your current highest unlocked Tier. * Feeding uses the food in your inventory, and only items a pet craves are fed. Items found by claiming Adventure output become available straight away. * Auto Boost lets you choose which boost items it may use. If a pet's energy is full, it uses the cheapest allowed boost that makes enough room. With it off, leveling stops at that pet. * Stop at first incomplete level up ends the whole run when one pet gets stuck. With it off, stuck pets are skipped and the rest continue. Reincarnating through Level Up clears the pet's boost, and Auto Boost only applies a new one when feeding needs the room. Items received from feeding are added to your inventory after all pets are processed. If a pet stops early, the result says which pet and why: out of food, missing craved item, Auto Boost off, or no big enough boost. == Pet boosts == Pet boost items multiply both a pet's Adventure speed and its energy capacity for a time. They do not change the energy each item costs, so a boosted pet burns food faster. {| class="wikitable" |- ! Boost ! Multiplier ! Duration per item |- | Fragrant Dogrose | 2 times | 2 hours |- | Mystical Rowan | 4 times | 2 hours |- | Legendary Aguaje | 8 times | 2 hours |- | Magic Token | 10 times | 24 hours |} * Only one boost type is active on a pet. More of the same type extends it, and a different type replaces it after you confirm. * Dogrose, Rowan and Aguaje come from rare crops. Magic Token is a rare item. * Boosts can be applied in bulk with filters for boosted, unboosted or soon-expiring pets. Check the selection and total cost first. == How Pet Leveling connects to other features == * The Farm grows the crops pets eat and the boost items they use. * Prestige perks Gourmand, Asterism and Gluttony change XP, Tier cap and capacity. * Higher Tiers raise your Buddy bonus and are required for the Pyre. == Changelog == Bconomy navbox
