* <strong>Transmutation (Refinery Bay).</strong> (TheCarriedOne)
** Unlock a <strong>Transmutation research</strong> in the Relay tree to enable a new transmute system in your Refinery Bay.
** For now, two transmutations, <strong>upscale and downscale gemeralds</strong>:
*** 4 green → amber,
*** 3 amber → purple,
*** 2 purple → red,
*** or one of each → a Pluperfect.
*** 2 Pluperfect → one of each,
*** 3 red → 2 purple,
*** 4 purple → 3 amber,
*** 1 amber → 1 green.
*** Conversions are <strong>lossy by design</strong>.
** Batches <strong>cook over time</strong> and each converted gem finishes independently.
** You can <strong>claim finished gems</strong> while the rest keep cooking. Click the transmute bar or use the popover to grab what’s ready.
** Cancel returns any gems that already finished and refunds the input gems for whatever hasn’t finished yet. <strong>Any remaining progress is lost</strong>.
** Transmutation speed scales with your Refinery module levels and a new 5-tier <strong>Transmutation Speed upgrade</strong>.
** <strong>New profile stat: “Transmuted”</strong>, tracks the BC worth of gems you’ve fed into transmutation.

** Perk cards on the Prestige page now <strong>show their maximum level and the benefit </strong>at that max level, so you can see the ceiling of a perk before spending runes.
